The graces brought Sofia Hall to its feet with their new routines

The athletes of the National Rhythmic Gymnastics Teams, individual and group, as well as the National Girls’ Team, presented their new compositions for the first time in front of an audience.

The event took place in Sofia Hall, which turned out to be narrow to accommodate all those who wanted to see the gymnasts supported by the Sport in Bulgaria Foundation live. They are currently preparing for the upcoming season, which includes the Olympics in Paris. A team of the Foundation was present in the hall to support the graces.

The hall filled far earlier than the start time of the control. Entrance for spectators was free. Minutes before the start of the event, the Minister of Sport Dimitar Iliev honored the President of the Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation Iliana Raeva with a huge bouquet of flowers.

Boryana Kaleyn surprised with something very innovative. Her four new routines run like a storyline – the music flows from one to the next. A true account of our primate’s complete journey, of the path she took, the victories, the hardships and the triumphs, a book “read” on the carpet in four compositions.

Styliana Nikolova has changed three of her routines, and for her owls she has chosen the song “You are beautiful my city”, which was sung and arranged especially for this composition of our grace.

The ensemble composed of Sofia Ivanova, Rachel Stoyanov, Margarita Vassileva, Magdalena Minevska and Kamelia Petrova blew the audience away with their five-hoop routine. The composition is set to Ennio Morricone’s iconic tune “Chi Mai” from the film The Professional. Bulgarian folk rhythms are superimposed on it.

The music for Balls and Bands that the ensemble staff has chosen is a remix of Allegro Feat. L.V., Fresh Game & Cokni O’Dire – ”Someone Else”.

Elvira Krasnobaeva, Nicole Todorova, Eva Brezalieva and Magdalena Valkova also took to the carpet.

The Bulgarian national rhythmic gymnastics team has a full number of quotas for Paris 2024 – two individuals and group.
