Nurgyul Salimova conquered another peak. After the second place at the Women’s U20 World Cup, naturally came the success with the women’s national chess team, with which she became European champion. Salimova also grabbed the award for the best performer on the second board.
At the European Women’s Team Chess Championship held in Budva, Montenegro, Nurgül Salimova together with Antoaneta Stefanova, Viktoria Radeva, Gergana Peycheva and Beloslava Krasteva became European champions after 7 wins, 2 draws and no losses. Nurgul won the individual honours, for which she received a gold medal and a diploma for the best performer on the second board of the tournament, after not conceding a single loss.
The Sport in Bulgaria Foundation supports Nurgul Salimova and does everything possible to facilitate her path to fulfilling her dream of standing on the world chess top by winning the women’s individual world title.
