The ninth edition of the International Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament “Aphrodite Cup”, which took place in Athens (Greece), ended with the finals of the individual apparatus. Bulgaria was represented by Dara Malinova, Magdalena Valkova, Alexa Rasheva and Alexandra Shalueva in the girls and Nicole Todorova in the women, winning a total of 4 medals (2 silver and 2 bronze).

Magdalena Valkova showed a solid performance in the qualification and deservedly took the silver in the 2010-born event, but made mistakes and came fourth in the hoop final and finished sixth in the shot put.

Dara Malinova took two bronze medals. Despite a difficult start, the pupil of Raina Tosheva fought for the bronze in the all-around in the 2009-born, won bronze in the ribbon final, and finished fourth in the clubs.

In the women’s event, Nicole Todorova won a silver medal in the hoop final, recorded a fourth-place finish in the shot put final, a sixth-place finish in the clubs, and a fifth-place finish in the all-around.
