Boryana Kalein is Gymnast of 2023 for Europe
The absolute European champion from Baku 2023 Boryana Kalein convincingly won the prestigious European Gymnastics Gymnast of the Year 2023. This is the second distinction for the Bulgarian grace, who won the award again in 2021.
“I am happy to win this award again! It shows that I have many loyal fans in Bulgaria and around the world who support me, for which I can only thank them. This is a great recognition for my work and that of my coaches! This award will be a great motivation for me not to stop trying to show a different gymnastics on the carpet!”, said the winner of the prize Gymnast of the Year, Boryana Kalein.
Later today, the alumna of Mariana Pamukova ranked fourth in the ranking “Sofia’s Best Athletes” for 2023. Kalein’s award was personally presented by Reneta Kamberova, the bronze medalist from the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
The ceremony of awarding the best athletes of Sofia for 2023 and announcing the faces of the initiative “World Capital of Sport for 2024” took place for the first time today at the Museum of the History of Physical Culture and Sport in the National Stadium “Vasil Levski”.
