On October 30, 2024, the Foundation “Sport in Bulgaria” supported the National Club Championship in Rhythmic Gymnastics, held at the Sofia Hall in Sofia. This year marked the fourth consecutive edition of the competition, bringing together the top ten clubs from the 2024 national championships.
The championship’s unique format pits clubs against each other in direct duels, with the matchups determined by a draw held just before the start of the event. The foundation provided a prize fund that was distributed among the top three clubs. The official opening took place at 2:00 PM, followed by the awards ceremony at 5:15 PM.
Mrs. Rossi McKee, founder of the foundation, presented the prizes to the winners, saying:
“Our partnership with the Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation is a mission for us. We believe in supporting young talents. Our gymnasts achieve global success, and we need such examples in Bulgaria. This championship, held in this unique format for the fourth consecutive year, stands out as something different and special. I wish all the gymnasts perseverance, inspiration, and faith in their dreams. Never give up and believe in your potential.”
Club Iliana claimed its fourth consecutive title, securing the championship once again. Second place went to the gymnasts from Levski, achieving their first silver medal in this exciting competition, with Stiliana Nikolova prominently featured on the team. The surprise of the tournament was once again Charm DKS from Varna, who eliminated Levski-Triaditsa to take the bronze.
The champion received a check for 12,000 BGN, while the silver and bronze medalists earned 9,500 BGN and 7,000 BGN, respectively. The total prize fund of 40,000 BGN was distributed among all participating clubs.
